The latest tumble by the 63-year-old rock and roll icon and "American Idol" judge took place on Tuesday in Paraguay, when Tyler reportedly slipped and fell in his hotel bathroom, ending him to a local emergency room.
According to a Reuters report, Tyler received emergency dental work and stitches to repair cuts to his face and the loss of two teeth! He spent four hours at La Costa medical center in Asunción, capital of Paraguay.
The unfortunate incident forced Aerosmith to cancel Tuesday night's show in Asuncion, but the concert was rescheduled for Wednesday. The concert is part of their current Latin American tour which kicked off on Saturday in Lima, Peru, and is headed to hit La Plata, Argentina, on Friday then hits Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico before heading to Japan in late November.
A spokesperson for the promoter of the Paraguay, Nicolas Garzia, tweeted that Tyler had been dehydrated and was suffering gastrointestinal problems before the tumble.
The last time Tyler fell was in August 2009, when he slipped off a stage in South Dakota and was airlifted to a hospital, which forced the postponement of the group's North American tour. The tension that followed between the members of Aerosmith almost resulted in the breaking up of the band as the other members briefly weighed the possibility of searching for a new singer that would replace Tyler.
Let's hope the Aerosmith guys aren't too harsh with Tyler this time around, because i'm sure he'll do his best to sing even without his two front teeth. Plus...I think we all agree Aerosmith wouldn't be the same without Steven Tyler, so the Aerosmith band needs to take it easy on him!
What do you think of Steven's fall?
